Posting Cringe Is a Canon Event

When we were kids, summer vacations felt endless. One holiday could emotionally last a lifetime. Now? A full year disappears faster than your phone battery at 2%.

It happens because as children, everything is new. Our brains are constantly processing fresh experiences, emotions, and learnings. Because of this nonstop novelty, time feels slower and fuller. As adults, routines take over. Our brain already knows what’s coming next, so it switches to autopilot. Same alarm. Same commute. Same “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Repetition kicks in, and time flies.

But content creation breaks this loop.

It forces you to observe more closely, think deeper, learn continuously, and express

intentionally. In the process, you don’t just create content; you create growth. Not just for your audience, but for your own personality, mindset, and voice.

If this has sparked even 5% motivation and curiosity, let’s talk about how to start creating content without overthinking it. It’s easier than it looks, I promise.

1. Pick one platform. Just one.

Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, a podcast, anything works. Choose the platform

where you already consume content naturally. If you’re scrolling there anyway, you

might as well post there too.

2. Document, don’t perform.

You don’t need expertise. You need honesty.

Ask yourself:

● What am I learning right now?

● What confused me recently?

● What changed my perspective?

Beginners explaining things clearly often outperform experts explaining things perfectly. Use

simple, everyday examples. Clarity always wins.

3. Choose a simple content lane.

For example:

● Learnings from work

● Observations from daily life

● Mistakes you made (and fixed)

● Opinions you couldn’t unsee

You keep evolving in the process. Clarity beats complexity.

Some of the Best Practices I Swear By:

● Consistency & frequency

Three posts a week for three months beats thirty posts in ten days.

● Clarity beats creativity

If your idea isn’t clear, no edit, filter, or trend will save it.

● Hook the mind, not just the eye

A good hook sparks curiosity, not clickbait. Make people think, “Wait… that’s true.,

Or “What the Hell !” whichever is your style.

● Write like you speak. Polish later.

Your natural voice is your unfair advantage.

● Engage like a human, not a brand

Replies, DMs, and comments build community- not just posting. I am a true believer of ‘What goes around, comes around”.

Conclusion-

There’s no hack bigger than watch time, saves, shares, and genuine engagement. Content creation isn’t a 30-day challenge; it’s a long-term thinking habit.

Your first posts will flop, and that’s okay. They’re just failed situationships before you meet your content soulmate.

So keep creating and keep evolving, even when it feels awkward.

Because every creator you admire once started out cringe.
